The Ministry of Education of Kyrgyzstan has confirmed that the requirements for school uniforms must adhere to a classic style. This statement was made by Altynbek Erkimbekov, head of the department of upbringing and extracurricular education.Deputy Dastan Bekeshev previously proposed at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh to reconsider the existing norms and make the uniform more comfortable. He advocated for the possibility of introducing a more relaxed style of clothing and
granting schools the right to determine their own uniform requirements.“According to the government resolution of the Kyrgyz Republic dated August 12, 2015, No. 572, the school uniform must remain in a classic style. This decision takes into account the climatic conditions and
temperature regime in educational institutions,” Erkimbekov explained. He added that these requirements were developed with the participation of parents, educators, and experts in the field. For boys, the uniform includes a shirt, vest, trousers, and jacket in solid colors (black, gray, dark blue, and burgundy), while for girls, it includes a blouse, vest, skirt, trousers, dress, apron, and jacket, which can be made from either
solid fabric or plaid. Light colors are permitted for shirts.
